Background

CNS offers a wide range of business communication services to a diverse spread of clients including hospitals, councils, financial companies and large corporates. Their bespoke service maintenance packages include data centre, networking and communications projects.

The Project

CNS engineers spend much of their time away from the office visiting individual client premises. This meant that all correspondence with customers and records of work carried out on-site had to be documented on paper based documents.

This created a problem in terms of tracking any additional work which had been completed beyond the original brief. There was also a secondary issue in terms of tracking an audit trail when customers were signing off any work completed.

Result

Formation Software brought increased efficiency to engineering service visits. The software allowed CNS to gather accurate data for the purposes of performance management such as time spent on-site and the time of departure.

In addition, Formation has had an impact on dispute resolution. Previously there had been occasions where providing proof of job completion to a customer had been difficult. Formation Software allows Job Sign-Off to be obtained via a digital signature on device.
